La Sagrada Famila

This building has been under construction for over a century. At one time, Gaudi was the lead architect, in fact, much of his other work was done when he took time away from this project…

…and it still won’t be done for another 30 years.

The Nativity side, constructed in Gaudi’s time. Here we can see a father begging for the life of his child at the hands of the Roman soldiers.

Here are the towers on the Nativity side. There will be another tower that is 175 meters taller than these.

The Passion side, constructed more recently, and in a different style. Here we see Peter during his denial of Christ.

The super magic square. A magic square adds up to the same number in every direction and every diagonal. This square adds to 33, the age of Christ. Mike has more detail on his blog.

Out tour guide.

The interior was expansive, however there was scaffolding everywhere. Here are some examples.

10/10 for spirallyness.

The stained-glass was unbeleivable. Apparently every window will be stained-glass at some point.
